MULTI-PROCESSOR DEVELOPMENT

It might just work, Jim.

It's one thing to talk about an infinite computer, but quite another to build one. There are still some basic technologies to develop. Still some inventions to create. The plan, then is to start with these basic technologies and produce products to advance existing systems. Sales of these will then fund development of the big project to follow. Here is a list of steps I suggest will lead to success.

The way ahead...

Set up equipment to spectrographically assess filtering materials
Work with LED makers to create sensor/transmitter devices
Adapt the devices to commercial telecommunications fibreoptic networks
Provide upgrade products to successively double transmission rates on these networks
Use the experience gained to build multispectral optical network cards for PCs
From that develop a chip that controls 6 such interfaces independantly
Having produced a chip, design motherboards for interchangeable rack mounting incorporating it.
Develop a BIOS to harness the network capabilities and support downloadable operating systems.
Connect the racks to PCs and develop multiple user support capabilities.
Release the computer for commercial applications.

All this is likely to result in some original and innovative ideas arising from the effort needed to make it succeed. On the next page, you can see one such idea.
